Yale to Launch New Anti-Semitism Program

06/20/2011

WASHINGTON (JTA) -- Yale University is launching a new program for the study of anti-Semitism, the school's provost said in a statement.

Monday's announcement by Peter Salovey of the creation of the Yale Program for the Study of Anti-Semitism comes less than three weeks after the university said the Yale Interdisciplinary Initiative for the Study of Anti-Semitism would be disbanded at the end of the summer for failing to promote sufficient research and instruction opportunities.

Oy Va Voy, I Lost My Mezuzah!

When I first started this blog back in March, my father, an avid blog consumer (though not of this one — his taste runs more to the neo-con political ones), e-mailed me that, “The first rule of blogging, you should know, is POSTING SOMETHING EVERY DAY.”

Sorry, Dad, I’ve come nowhere near complying with this rule, especially in the last few weeks. Hopefully this won’t be as great a disappointment as my rejection 21 years ago from Yale or my failure to pursue a  more stable and lucrative career.

Nu, Rabbi Ponet: You Never Call, You Never Write...

I am shocked to report that Rabbi James Ponet, although he never calls, never writes to ME (what am I, chopped liver?) agreed to talk to The New York Times.

Don’t worry about me, Rabbi Fancy-Pants Too Good For The Jewish Week, I’ll just sit in the dark.
