What does it mean to be a Jewish poet? Video blogger Aaron Herman spoke to poet and Jewish Week NY 36 under 36 alumnus Yehoshua November about infusing Jewish culture and religion into poems.
Yehoshua November is the author of God's Optimism, which won the MSR Poetry Book Award and was named a finalist for the 2010 L.A. Times Poetry Book of the Year, Autumn House Poetry Prize, and Tampa Review Prize for Poetry.Yehoshua is the winner of the Bernice Slote Award and the London School of Jewish Studies Poetry Contest. He teaches writing at Rutgers University and Touro College.
