ACLU defends Islam-slamming kids

Since I'm on the subject of Islam bashing: I was struck by new reports describing the ACLU's legal defense of Christian students at a Florida high school who think it's cool to wear T-shirts with the slogan 'Islam is of the devil.”  (See a Florida ACLU release on the controversy here)

The adults who told these kids it's OK to wear slogans defaming another faith should be taken out to the religious pluralism woodshed.

To say President Obama’s Tuesday speech to the nation laying out his plans for Afghanistan will be the most critical moment yet in his 10-month old presidency is risking understatement.

The expected deepening of U.S. military involvement, coupled to a change in its objectives, represent a high-risk strategy in a crisis in which every option is laden with danger – for the nation and for the Obama presidency.

Of course, the list is a put on, but that probably won’t stop the group’s legion of detractors from finding some deep and dark significance in the official invitation.
