Let's face it; all but one of the Jews in the U.S. House and Senate are Democrats. So we were wondering: what about the next generation of Jewish Republican leaders?

You know about the zillion or so Jewish blogs out there in cyberspace, but there are also plenty of blogs that are not focused primarily on Jewish issues – but which provide a lot of content about Israel, U.S. Middle East policy and a range of domestic issues that Jews love to debate. Here are five that are consistently interesting:

Okay, you miscalculated, and you have a few extra boxes of Passover matzah cluttering your cupboard. Maybe a few dozen.

And let's face it: if you have to choke down another bite of matzah, you're going to hurl. So what to do with the leftovers?

We asked Jewish Week blogger Rabbi Jason Miller, and he offered these "helpful" suggestions - tongue firmly in cheek, maybe stuck there by all the matzah goo:

- Give it to a blind person to read

- Crumble, add water and fill in the cracks in the sidewalk

- Use it as packing material

Okay, everybody knows Ed Koch is a former New York mayor and a major player in Jewish politics. In 2008 he campaigned aggressively for Democratic nominee Barack Obama; these days he's giving President Obama heartburn by leading the charge against his current Middle East policies.

But Ed Koch is also a film buff and a keen-eyed critic, as recipients of his movie review emails know.

Mr. Koch was kind enough to share his top movie picks of the past 12 months with the Jewish Week:
