On the evening of Friday, June 13th, a diverse group of Jews will gather together at sunset to break bread and celebrate Shabbat. There will be baked chicken, fluffy rice, and steaming-hot potatoes, as well as elegantly braided challahs and plenty of wine.

International Jewish entrepreneurship incubator shifts leadership to U.S.
The PresenTense Group, the scrappy social entrepreneurship incubator, has named new co-directors who will be based in New York instead of Israel. Naomi Korb Weiss, previously the group’s training director, and Shelby Zeitelman, its former program director in North America, say they want to broaden the reach of PresenTense, which received official non-profit status in 2010.
JERUSALEM (JTA) -- A spokesman for Justin Bieber told JTA that the pop star is not meeting with children from Israel's rocket-beset south because of logistics, not politics.
“Justin welcomes the chance to meet with kids facing difficult circumstances, regardless of their background, and in fact, he had already invited children from the Sderot area to join the 25,000-plus other fans at his concert in Tel Aviv on Thursday night,” the spokesman told JTA.
