Matthew Goldstein, chancellor of City University of New York, recalled a commencement where he introduced the speaker and told him, “Marvin, be brief because no one will remember what you say.”

Marvin got up and addressed the audience:  “When you leave here remember one thing: make money.”  He sat down and got a standing ovation.

Yavneh, a 1960s and `70s organization of Orthodox college students, is, in the words of “The Greening of American Orthodox Judaism: Yavneh in the 1960s” by Benny Kraut, “hardly remembered today, except perhaps by former members.”

(JTA) -- Princeton students are voting on whether to ask the university's dining services to provide an alternative brand of hummus.

The campaign to allow other brands besides Sabra in university stores reportedly is the brainchild of Philly BDS, which calls for boycott, divestment and sanctions against companies that support the Israel Defense Forces.

Sabra is half-owned by The Strauss Group, which has publicly supported the IDF and provides care packages and sports equipment to Israeli soldiers.
