Sadness Reigns At Agudah Dinner

05/22/1998 | by ADAM DICKTER | Staff Writer

Organizers of Agudath Israel’s 76th annual dinner Sunday night considered canceling it upon word, just hours before the event, that their leader of more than 30 years had died. 05/22/1998 | by Lawrence Cohler-Esses | Staff Writer

Transforming The Campus

05/15/1998 | by Stewart Ain | Staff Writer

While swaying to the music at a lake-side Havdalah service last year in St. Louis, Rebecca Maslow started to cry. “I had no idea what was going on,” she said of the service that marks the end of Shabbat. “I felt horrible. I felt like an outsider, like there was a secret handshake I didn’t know. But just look at me now.”
