Jewish Group’s Petition Calls for Glenn Beck to Go

(JTA) -- A Jewish group garnered 10,000 signatures on a petition asking Fox News Channel to fire political commentator Glenn Beck.

Jewish Funds for Justice attempted to deliver the petition on Jan. 13 to the Manhattan headquarters of News Corp., Fox's parent company, run by Rupert Murdoch. Security would not let JFSJ president Simon Greer into the building, and so he pledged to mail in the petition.

JFSJ has clashed with the talk show provocateur ever since Beck said the term "social justice" leads to Nazism last year. It launched the petition after Beck's sustained attack on liberal financier George Soros in November, in which Beck suggested without evidence that Soros, a Holocaust survivor, had collaborated with the Nazis.

Also on Jan. 13, Beck delivered another of his interpretations of history that suggest a shadowy attempt to control human thought.

JFSJ and Media Matters, a liberal watchdog, noted that eight of the nine villains in Beck's analysis, including Soros and Sigmund Freud, were Jewish.

"We are disturbed that by his increasingly focus on attacking Jews and find it hard to believe that it was only coincidence that eight of the nine individuals on his list alleging a shadowy alliance to control the Americans through propaganda were Jewish," JFSJ said in a statement.

A number of conservative Jewish groups have defended Beck, saying that there is no evidence that the attacks on Soros and others have anything to do with the targets' Jewishness and noting Beck's strong support for Israel.

They want to get Beck kicked off because he's anti-Soros. I suggest that the Jewish Fund For Justice go back to Civic's class and read about free speech. But, what can you expect from a bunch of union hacks and community organizers that are in the pay of George Soros. Soros is anti-Zionist and his anti-Israel. To quote him, "There is a resurgence of anti-Semitism in Europe. The policies of the Bush administration and the Sharon administration contribute to that," Soros said. "It's not specifically anti-Semitism, but it does manifest itself in anti-Semitism as well. I'm critical of those policies." "If we change that direction, then anti-Semitism also will diminish," he said. "I can't see how one could confront it directly." Sure George, that's why there's anti-Semitism. Oh actually, the last 2,000 years worth of anti-Semitism was prospective to the time of Sharon and Bush. And Beck is the anti-Semite....are they serious. More power to anyone including Beck that shines the light on haters, anti-Semites and America haters. I suggest that we all make fun of the Jewish Fund For Justice as they seem to take themselves just a bit too seriously.
No mention, of course, that this puppet organization is funded by George Soros. The man is trying to remove this thorn in his side with his money - but he will fail miserably.
What? Again already? Merely days have passed since the demolition of the left's delusion that Rush Limbaugh was responsible for Congresswoman Giffords' shooting. Now pops up this bunch demanding that Glenn Beck be kicked off the air. Shutting up an intellectual adversary is increasingly the left's interpretation of The American Way. Obviously these laidigaier have nothing better to fill their time. I suggest they volunteer to pick up discarded kleenex from the floors of subway cars. Their absence from intellectual discourse would be severely felt, but the occupational therapy would benefit their mental health.
