J Street Ad Responds To Wiesel
Photo Galleria:

(JTA) —  J Street is placing full-page ads in Jewish weekly newspapers on the topic of securing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel under a two-state solution.
The ad, to be placed in seven newspapers in cities with large Jewish populations, features an Op-Ed written by former Israeli Cabinet minister and political commentator Yossi Sarid. It comes in response to an open letter by Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel published in an ad in several newspapers earlier this month.
In his letter Wiesel called on the United States to stop pressuring Israel over Jerusalem.
Sarid responds that Wiesel has been deceived by those who have told him that Arabs may live anywhere in Jerusalem and cautions him against invoking the Jewish people’s “biblical deed” to Jerusalem.

J Street's ad is similar to a full page ad taken out by the Iran lobby a week ago. The ad appeared to be from a US anti-war organization accusing Netanyahu, the leader of a foreign government, of interfering in US affairs. Only on closer examination and research would the reader learn that the organization was the Iran lobby, doing precisely what it accused Israel (our ally) of doing. J Street is in good company with the Iran lobby. And siding with J Street is really just backing Iran, a state that promotes worldwide terrorism and has nuclear ambitions.
