Standing Up To Bullies, Here And In Israel

Lately I have this feeling that the world is increasingly out of control. Most obvious are the frightening terrorist attacks from ISIS and its allies around the world, and growing tension and violence between blacks and the police here, underscoring a deep racial divide.

Thousands Gather In Tel Aviv To Support France After Attacks

TEL AVIV — Thousands of Israelis rallied in solidarity with France following a series of terror attacks in Paris that killed more than 100 people.

French Ambassador to Israel Patrick Maisonnave presided over the rally, which took place Saturday evening in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square. Maisonnave said France has been targeted in particular for its part in the fight against terrorism and ISIS, and thanked Israel for its support.

There have been a number of front-page photos in the daily papers lately of U.S. bombing ISIS positions in Syria from the air. But have you read any articles about the inevitable collateral damage, the impact on civilians resulting from the attacks? Have you seen any statistics on casualties among the population caught in the crossfire?

How Did They Find Out: ISIS Invading Via Mexico

Some Republican candidates in statewide and congressional races this fall are saying they oppose the bipartisan Senate-passed immigration bill because it would open the way for radical Islamists of the Islamic State (ISIS) to invade the United States from the south and bring in the Ebola virus.  They want to lock the doors, throw away the keys and build higher fences. Don’t forget the moats and alligators.
