FRESH INK for Teens Writing Contest

May is Jewish-American Heritage Month.
To celebrate Jewish contributions to American culture we invite high school students to submit an essay on the topic:

Which Jewish-American do you most admire?

 
You may use the list of members and nominees in the Jewish-American Hall of Fame, or come up with the name of a living or deceased individual of your choice.

DEADLINE: MAY 13, 2013

  • Essays must not exceed 500 words
  • Entries will be judged by Jewish Week staff and Jewish-American Hall of Fame director
  • Consideration includes originality, creativity, and writing style.
       

Grand Prize: $180 Runner-up: $100

Both winners will receive a Jewish-American Hall of Fame medal. Winners will be featured on the Fresh Ink forTeens website and archived on the Jewish-American Hall of Fame.

Eligibility Rules:

  • All entries must be submitted by a high school student.
  • Limit one entry per student.
  • Please allow 3 weeks for delivery of the prize.
  • There is no cash value option.
  • Winners will be notified by email.
  • Staff, board members and families of The Jewish Week Media Group are not eligible.
  • All submissions become property of Fresh Ink for Teens / Jewish Week
