I read your editorial on the “disturbing decision on guns” (“Disturbing Decision On Guns”) and Steve Lipman’s article on “Broader Gun Rights: Bad For The Jews?” (July 2).

Please note that I am only in favor of the legal possession of firearms; those people who illegally own and use them should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. However, I think The Jewish Week has to wake up and smell the coffee. If the Jews were armed to protect themselves, they would not have marched into the ovens without putting up a fight. More research should have been done before publishing such trash.
