Disappointed Grandson

As a grandson of Harry Slochower, the person whose struggle against McCarthy-era attacks on free speech Francine Klagsbrun has seen fit to appropriate for her own anti-speech agenda, I was disappointed by her column. (“BDS Threat To Israel’s Legitimacy, Not Free Speech,” Opinion, March 8).
The author uses my grandfather’s bravery in the face of genuine injustice as a shield for weak reasoning and an anti-intellectual agenda.
