Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Nov. 30 accused Israel of being suspicious of Palestinians and showing a “lack of generosity” and “lack of empathy” to them, saying there is “more that the Israelis need to do to really demonstrate that they do understand the pain of an oppressed people in their minds.”

“I’m not making excuses for the missed opportunities of the Israelis, or the lack of generosity, the lack of empathy that I think goes hand-in-hand with the suspicion,” Clinton said at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy in Washington, DC.

Rahm Emanuel said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu betrayed the Obama administration by announcing a new settlement expansion and the cutoff of tax transfers to the Palestinian Authority.

Emanuel, the mayor of Chicago and President Obama's chief of staff in his first term, delivered the assessment over the weekend at the Saban Forum, an off-the-record Washington event.

Settlers Arrested For Allegedly Carrying Out Hebron 'Price Tag' Attack

'Price tag' refers to Jewish extremists' practice of retributive attacks on Palestinians and Arabs.

Three residents of Jewish West Bank settlements were arrested on suspicion of carrying out a price tag attack near Hebron.

The men were arrested late Sunday night after a car was set ablaze in the Palestinian village of Dahariya near Hebron. The words "price tag" were spray painted on a wall near the arson attack.

Methodists Reject Israel-Trade Divestment Measure, Favor West Bank Boycott

The general conference of the United Methodist Church voted not to divest from three companies that trade with Israel.

Two-thirds of the approximately 1,000 delegates to the conference voted Wednesday in Tampa, Fla., against a motion to divest from Caterpillar, Motorola Solutions and Hewlett-Packard.

Divestment advocates claim that products manufactured by these companies are used to repress Palestinians.

Palestinian Teens Carrying Bombs, Gun, Seized At West Bank Checkpoint

Two Palestinian teens were arrested Saturday night at a West Bank checkpoint after police found they were hiding pipe bombs, a gun and ammunition, authorities said.

The Palestinians, both 17 and residents of the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, were acting suspiciously as they approached the Tapuach Junction on Saturday evening. When asked to stop for a routine inspection they attempted to run away, but were caught by Border Guards and police officers, according to reports.
