Rabin & Arafat Agreed -- Their Oslo Accords Justify Israel Smacking Flotilla

 

While there's been no shortage of Jews who insist that Israel was wrong to stop and board the terrorist flotilla. there's been a curious disconnect. Most of the Jews who got the most sea-sick by Israel's self-defense are the same Jews who constantly want Israel pressured to get more involved in the peace process.

But what do the existing agreements of the peace process have to say about Israel's rights to control the waters off the Gaza coast?

It’s just about at this time of year that I begin thinking in earnest of the topics that I want to address in my High Holiday sermons.  Some years ago, in a fit of preparedness, I wrote my sermons early in July, and then Yasser Arafat and Yitzchak Rabin shook hands on the South Lawn of the White House in August and ruined every rabbi’s already-written sermons for that year.  I’ve learned!
