In this week’s column (Feb. 27) on “Small Miracles of the Holocaust,” I mention the time that Edwin Booth saved Robert Lincoln’s life. Here’s some more on that fascinating historical footnote. Of course, to R. Lincoln and E. Booth this was not a footnote at all, and it turned out to be a lifesaver, of sorts, for Edwin, as well.
