“March Madness” is much, much more than a basketball tournament. As Jewish students on campuses across the country were exhilarated – or disappointed -- by one of the most exciting NCAA college basketball post-seasons in recent memory, they’ve also been involved in exciting developments at home and abroad, from Passover celebrations to fighting an anti-Israel divestment vote at the UC-Berkeley campus.

It may be the most comprehensive survey of the Jewish people since Moses counted the Jews as recorded in the Book of Numbers. Researchers this week said they sent out nearly 900 draft copies of the ambitious $4 million National Jewish Population Survey to an array of Jewish organizations for their input. Many believe the 250-question poll will set the agenda for the American Jewish community for the 21st century.
Yossi Goldberg played soccer and basketball as a boy growing up in Israel, but figure skating was in his blood — his mother was a figure skater in Lithuania.
