The 2012 election results revealed Sheldon Adelson’s $53 million in campaign donations to be a poor investment. Nearly all of the candidates he funded lost.
Of course, the CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp. is the 12th-wealthiest American and must be a talented businessman.
But sometimes he sounds a bit dim. Here’s what he told Norwegian TV, of all people, which asked him how he thought his campaign donations were spent. They were the equivalent of bills, Adelson said, adding this:
“That’s how you spend money. Either that or become a Jewish husband – you spend a lot of money.”
Ah, the JAP stereotype! With friends like this, Sheldon …
I understand the man is 79. And I believe more older men see the world this way than young ones, so their number is falling.
But it's still a shande, Sheldon.
