You want to know just how anti-Israel that rascal Barack Obama is?
I'll tell you: today Ha'aretz is reporting that Obama approved $205 million in extra aid to help Israel buy 10 batteries of the “Iron Dome” weapons system intended to protect Israeli citizens and towns from incoming Katyushas and Qassams.
Seems the Israelis didn't budget enough money to actually deploy the new gadgets and went to the Obama administration – led by a president persistent e- mailers says is committed to the Jewish state's destruction -- for help. Obama approved the request, which those same e -mailers will probably conclude is a ploy meant to soften Israel up for new administration pressure.
Here's a plain fact: while the newspapers have been full of stories of U.S.-Israel diplomatic tension and while hysterical blogs and emails warn that the Obama administration has it in for Israel, U.S.-Israel military cooperation is as strong as ever, maybe even stronger.
And that wouldn't happen if Obama didn't want it to happen.
Past administrations have used arms sales or military aid as a lever to pressure Israel; the Obama administration hasn't.
I'm not saying President Obama's peace policies are the best ones for Israel; I might be able to tell you more if I could figure out what they are.
I am saying that if you think this is an administration of Israel haters, you're not paying attention to the facts - or you don't care about facts, just ideology.
