Minister & Rabbi At Chelsea's Wedding?

My friend Rabbi Jason Miller has scooped me (and apparently everyone else) on this weekend's Chelsea-Marc festivities. If Rabbi Miller's "good authority" is correct, a Methodist minister and a rabbi will be co-officiating at the ceremony. I'll be sure to let you know if I can find out any more details. Hopefully, at least one of these clergy members will agree to do a post-nuptial interview with "In the Mix." For those of you who hate celebrity gossip, I apologize, but boy does it ever drive traffic to our Web site!

The Jewish Week welcomes comments on our stories and encourages discussions germane to our articles. But we will not become a platform for screaming matches or personal attacks against individuals, organizations or religious or political perspectives.

Commenting guidelines:

  • Be clear and stay on topic
  • Avoid objectionable language
  • Be short; comments longer than 300 words will be rejected
  • Be civil; name calling in any form will not be tolerated, and comments that denigrate any religion or Jewish religious stream will always be rejected.
  • Comments meant primarily to advertise a business or organization will be rejected

This thing is beginning to give me agita. Who really cares what this thing is going to be. I have to say basta to the Clintons and basta to this Lohan creature,
and also Paris Hilton. Feh.

Why would a "Rabbi" officiate and sanctify a wedding based upon a forbidden relationship? It's idiotic.

Because when a rabbi officiates it makes the parents feel better
