Weiner - Abedin nuptials: the headline says it all

What does the Jewish religious community think of Rep. Anthony Weiner's marriage to longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin?

Weiner, after all, is one of the most outspoken defenders of Jewish causes on Capitol Hill, while Abedin is a Muslim who grew up in Saudi Arabia. The two were married on Saturday by former President Bill Clinton.

How, exactly, Clinton was able to perform the ceremony remains unclear. A mail-order ordination, perhaps?

In any event, here's the headline in the Yeshiva World News story on Saturday's wedding: "Christian President Marries Jewish Congressman to Moslem Political Aide on Shabbos."

Guess we know what they think.Read their story here.

Here's the Daily News breathless account of the wedding.

Do we care about Weiner? We have so many things of more important (JOBS,Health Plan, Cap and trade, Foreclosures)

I wouldn't call Weiner anywhere close to being an outspokend defender of Israel. The guy went missing in action during the recent troubles and woulnd't take his nose out of Obamas armpit if it killed him.
